Ici, on recycle!

Les Fibres de Verre Rioux has signed on to Recyc-Québec’s « Ici on recycle! » recycling program. The company is expecting a Level 2 certificate of recognition for its efforts in recycling, reusing and reducing its residual material.

Recycling and adding value to composite waste

As a member of RICQ-Regroupement des Industries du Composite du Québec (Québec’s association of composite industries), Les Fibres de Verre Rioux supports this research project which is looking to develop a method for collecting industrial composite waste and reintegrating it into the manufacturing process.

Innovative manufacturing technologies using residual matter from the composite industry

Les Fibres de Verre Rioux is a partner in a new research program that studies the use of innovative manufacturing technologies that have minimal environmental impact in the production of composite parts. The project is a joint effort with other companies and the CDCQ-Centre de Développement des Composites du Québec, (the Québec composite development center). The goal is to find an innovative manufacturing process that can reintegrate residual matter collected from the composite industry.

Biomethanation

Les Fibres de Verre Rioux is one of the partner-companies in REDB-Regroupement d’expertise et de développement en biométhanisation (consultation and development network for biomethanation). The network’s goal is to reduce the volume of waste that is put into landfills by recycling organic matter to produce biomethane. This biofuel will then be used in specially-adapted vehicles.
